The assault caused the partial shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 parking area.

Two more people are now in custody in connection with a robbery at London's Heathrow Airport in which over twenty individuals were injured by what is thought to be pepper spray, according to police.

A man, 24, was taken into custody in Lambeth for suspected robbery and assault and a woman, 23 was detained for suspected conspiring to commit a robbery. Both individuals are still being held, the force said.

The arrests come after an investigation into an assault at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 on Sunday. Before the attack, a pair of female travelers had stolen from them their luggage upon exiting a parking garage elevator.

A three-year-old girl was one of the injured in the event. Five people went to hospital for treatment and were later discharged.

Officers arrested a man in his thirties on suspicion of robbery and assault near the location. He was subsequently released under investigation while inquiries continue.

Police were alerted at approximately 08:10 GMT following reports of several people hurt by a noxious substance thought to be pepper spray.

The attack - which police said was a standalone incident and not considered an act of terror - resulted in delays to rail services and the temporary shutdown of the main airport tunnel and the T3 car park briefly.
