Star Denies Anti-Vax Views Following Voicing Contentious Pandemic Film

Liam Neeson has given his narration to a feature-length documentary that questions the efficacy of immunizations and praises ex- health official RFK Jr.

The Documentary's Provocative Foundation

Called "Plague of Corruption," the documentary is adapted from a well-known publication co-authored by a controversial scientist, who became famous during the pandemic for assertions that the illness was caused by a faulty batch of the influenza shot.

The book's writing partner, Kent Heckenlively, has previously authored books with controversial media personality Alex Jones. Heckenlively took to social media celebrating Neeson's involvement in the documentary.

An Unequivocal Statement

A spokesperson for Liam Neeson have provided a comment strongly denying suggestions that he subscribes to anti-vaccine views.

"Many acknowledge that unethical practices might be present within the drug industry, but that cannot be confused with rejection of vaccines," the comment reads. "Neeson is not, and is not, against vaccines. His extensive work with Unicef highlights his enduring support for public-health initiatives."

The statement continued that the performer was not involved in crafting the film's narrative and that concerns about its claims ought to go to the filmmakers.

Key Assertions Featured in the Documentary

In the film, the narration spoken by Neeson features several strong claims:

  • It claims that pro-vaccine voices have called for "complete compliance" to health authorities.
  • It posits that "science has become deeply politicised."
  • Kennedy is interviewed saying, "The major issue with vaccines is that they simply are not safely tested."
  • It takes aim at Covid lockdowns, arguing they caused mental anguish that cost thousands of lives.
  • On the topic of Covid vaccines, it mentions a perspective that they were "developed too quickly" and seen as "hazardous tests."

Historical Background and Current Issues

It further cites a historical film about AIDS medication trials on children, which was afterwards the focus of a correction by the broadcaster for unbalanced reporting.

Last month, RFK Jr called on the national health agency to change its official position that there is no causal relationship between vaccines and autism spectrum disorder. This supposed link is repeated in the film, contrary to a fresh analysis from the global health body confirming no such link has been found.

A Previous Position of Endorsement

Contrasting the documentary's message, Neeson has in the past voiced clear advocacy for vaccines in his role as a UNICEF goodwill ambassador.

In 2022, he referred to vaccines as "a remarkable achievement," adding that "The conversation about vaccines in the past few years has forgotten how much positive impact they have done... It is perhaps one of the biggest shared accomplishments in our history."

The documentary concludes with Neeson's voice proclaiming, "This is not the finish of our narrative. It is the dawn of a different phase."
