Real Madrid's Trent Alexander-Arnold May Return to Face Liverpool in Upcoming European Clash

The English defender in action

Real Madrid signed Trent Alexander-Arnold on a six-year deal

Trent Alexander-Arnold's rehabilitation is moving forward according to plan, giving a chance that the Madrid defender could be fit soon enough to play against his previous club Liverpool in the upcoming European match.

The English player suffered a hamstring problem during a match against Ligue 1 club Marseille in the initial phase of the competition on September 16.

Alexander-Arnold exited the pitch in the early stages, with initial reports indicating a possible layoff of around six weeks.

Real Madrid will travel to visit Liverpool on November 4 for the Champions League match—just seven weeks since the injury occurred.

Reports familiar with the player's condition state that the defender's comeback is progressing positively, and there is expectation that Alexander-Arnold might achieve his first appearance to Anfield after moving to Los Blancos in the summer.

A lifelong Liverpool supporter, Alexander-Arnold earlier remarked that leaving the club he entered as a six-year-old youth player was the "most difficult choice he has ever taken."

During his spell with the Reds, Alexander-Arnold made over 350 appearances, helping secure multiple Premier League titles, a Champions League, and the domestic cup.

After joining to Madrid, Alexander-Arnold has played on five occasions across various tournaments, accumulating over two and a half hours of game time.
