Throughout a dominant display, England wrapped up another victory against Albania, featuring a number of squad members turning in notable displays throughout the game.

Starting Lineup

Dean Henderson Was rarely tested to make in the first half until forced to intervene from an opponent's curled attempt. A sliding challenge against an Albanian attacker highlighted sharp reading of the game. 6/10

The debutant Tested against the opposition's main danger in Hoxha. Operated through the middle early on then shifted wider once a teammate was introduced. Seven

John Stones Pushed forward on the ball, as he has done previously. At times was too casual when carrying play with the approach abandoned at half-time. 6/10

The tall defender Always dangerous on corners and free-kicks, per usual, could serve as another option to his teammate at the back instead of paired with him. One wayward ball after the break nearly resulted in an opener from the visitors. 6/10

Nico O’Reilly One more assured display from the rising star after his first cap against Serbia. Saka was unable to take the most of a clever flick behind their defense. The role is firmly his at this stage. Seven

Adam Wharton His maiden beginning in an England shirt. Slightly loose on the ball but his whipped set-pieces were a threat. A handy tempo-setter available to the coach to have against sides that sit back. Cautioned for a rash challenge. 6/10

The midfielder Crosses from corners and set-plays were dangerous. Was given license to move down the left flank but was offside as the pass came in front of goal. Given a merited rest around the 60-minute point. Six

The star midfielder Operated in a forward spot out wide and did plenty of the hard yards. Demonstrated moments of class and mishit a shot high. Substituted in the closing stages for a teammate, his rival, after being booked. Seven

Jarrod Bowen Had England’s best chance in the opening period, his effort smartly stopped from Thomas Strakosha. With Quansah staying deep, it fell to him to stretch the play down the right side but his crosses into the box were inconsistent. Replaced late in the match. 6

Harry Kane The match-winner scoring 77th and 78th strikes for his country. The opener a trademark poacher’s finish and his next an excellent headed goal after peeling away away from the opposition. At 32, his form is unwavering and England stand a real opportunity in the upcoming tournament with him up top. Eight

The attacker Found it tough to make an impact from the left. Was presented with a good opening after being played in by Bellingham however the keeper kept it out. His replacement made much more of effect after coming on. Five
